My First Blog - He's still working on me!

When trying to decide what my blog address should be this phrase kept coming to my mind so it stuck... He is still working on me.

I was reminded this morning while praying that God is forever working on me. I will never be perfect on earth (no matter how much I want to be or think I can be) It will only be upon his return to bring me home to heaven that I will be "whole". While I was pondering this with a prayerful attitude a song from childhood popped into my head

"He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be, it took him just a week to make the moon and the stars the sun and the earth and jupiter and mars how lovely and patient he must be, cause he's still working on me"

Unfortuneatly I am an "A type" personality so I like perfection and often find myself feeling overwhelemed trying to make something perfect or trying to "be" perfect. I was comforted today knowing that if I am striving to be who God wants me to be that he will take care of the rest. I am not perfect, I am not expected to be perfect and I need to accept that.
